Art Exhibition Catalog for The Wood
I designed this catalog as the documentation component of my Master's thesis project, called The Wood. I exhibited this project at the UCSD gallery, and a second iteration at the Santa Monica Museum of Art. This catalog documents both exhibitions.
This project was all mine–from creative direction, design, layout and production, to making all of the artwork pictured, and directing the photo shoots.
The Wood is an examination of the woods as a romantic and sublime space, as well as wood as a material. With the catalog design, I am connecting to the fairytale aspect of the work; the large drop-caps of the text, and the arrangement of the images unfold like a story book.
